This four-piece series is an early exploration in two fused glass techniques that I was investigating at the time: use of fiber paper, and candle-formed stringers. I originally started bending the glass stringers to simply keep them from rolling around before being fired, but found that I liked the way it looked as well, especially in tight arrangements. In places where the fiber paper was too thick for the stringers and created separated sections, I made it work with the use of special glue.
