Interior hallway door commissioned by a couple friends for their new house. The wood and steel were salvaged locally from their family’s homestead ranch, which I was watching over. The lichen on the wood was so beautiful, I took extra consideration in the design to showcase as much of it as possible; then compliment it with some unique rusted metal parts. The track and wheels were made from new steel pieces so the movement would be smooth, and speed-rusted with hydrogen-peroxide to match the aesthetic. One of my best projects to date.
