The freestanding glass piece is a demonstration of a technique that was developed during the early stages of fused glass studies. The design was created by using laser-cut fiber paper and colored frit, to which glass panes were placed on top and fired to full fuse. Metal fasteners were cut with a plasma cnc and fastened to a welded steel frame. The interior frame rotates freely within a freestanding steel frame.
